Infection prevention control guidelines to remain in place
The highest priority for the NHS remains the safety of staff, patients and visitors.
While COVID restrictions will end in many settings in England from 19 July, everyone accessing or visiting healthcare settings must continue to wear a face covering (unless they are exempt) and follow social distancing rules.
Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines and hospital visiting guidance are therefore set to remain in place for all staff and visitors and across all health services including hospitals, GP practices, dentists, optometrists and pharmacies to ensure patients and staff are protected.

We have now completed our local vaccination programme for people in cohorts 1-9. All adults aged 18 and over are eligible to book a COVID vaccination – to book both first and second doses visit the National Booking Service online or call 119. There are a wide range of locations available to choose across Somerset – there is no need to contact the surgery.
We would like to say a big thank you to the hundreds of people who have supported our local COVID vaccination programme and we are so proud of each and every person who has given their time and energy to help us to run such a successful programme.
Covid-19 Vaccination Passports
We politely ask that you do not contact the surgery enquiring about COVID vaccination certification as we are unable to issue this at the practice.
Proof of your vaccination status will be available on the NHS App or your Patient Access App, which is also valuable for accessing your health records and ordering repeat prescriptions. Alternatively, you can call the NHS helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.

Named GP For All Patients
You may be aware that over the past couple of years we have moved to a "Named GP list" for all patients which helps both our patients and doctors with continuity of care. This will mean that our reception team will aim to book you an appointment with your own GP or their "buddy" in their absence. If you are unsure who your Named GP is, you can contact the surgery by emailing the team on email@example.com. If you are unhappy with your current GP and wish to change to another doctor at the surgery, please write into the Practice Manager. Your request will then be discussed by the doctors.
