We aim to provide the best possible service to our patients and hope that you feel we achieve that. The care of your health is a partnership between yourself and The Crown Medical Centre. The success of that partnership relies on co-operation between us.
Our responsibility to you:
- You have the right to confidentiality
- You have the right to see your medical records, subject to the limitations of the law
- If your medical problem is urgent, we will triage your request and book you an appropriate appointment.
- For non-urgent medical problems, we recommend completing an online consultation form on our website, which will be reviewed by a GP within 3 working days.
- We will refer you to a consultant when your GP feels it is appropriate and process urgent referrals within 1 working day.
- You have the right to receive appropriate medication in line with the GPs advice.
- Your repeat prescription will be ready in 5 working days of your request.
- We will provide a response to any complaints within 30 working days, in line with our complaints policy.
Your responsibility to us:
- Please treat all surgery staff with respect.
- Do not request medical information for anyone other than yourself.
- Inform us of any change to your contact details (address, telephone number, name).
- You should only request a home visit if you are housebound or to unwell to attend the surgery.
- Out-of-hours services should be used for emergencies only.
- Your appointment is for you to attend only. If another member of your family has a medical problem, you must arrange a separate appointment.
- Please be punctual.
- Please be prepared to wait, should your consultation be delayed by an unexpected emergency.
- We would also be grateful for any feedback on our services and how we can improve things for patients.
